Combating global warming and air pollution

Only a few years after COP21, achieving the objectives set by the Paris Agreement is proving more difficult than expected. In addition, more than 80% of the urban population lives in regions where World Health Organization air quality standards are not met, in part because of mobility systems.

A concerted effort is needed to achieve the decarbonization targets, which must be reassessed in 2020. For an impact to be felt on GHGs and air quality, collective action must be taken by companies, policymakers, cities and citizens, taking into account all means of transport and making use of new technologies.
