In the National Assembly, Arnaud is a member of the Committee on European Affairs and Secretary of the Committee on Sustainable Development.

Arnaud Leroy was appointed Chairman of the Board of Administration of the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) in March 2018. He is also a member of the Executive Office of the  political party “République en Marche”, where he is in charge of international issues. He began his career in the European Parliament as a parliamentary assistant, then in 2001 he was appointed Secretary General of the French Green delegation.

In 2004, he was appointed to the European Maritime Safety Agency, where he was in charge of protecting the marine environment and issues related to climate change. In 2005, he joined the Socialist Party and the Overseas French Federation. In 2012, he was elected Member of Parliament  of the fifth constituency of the French Living Abroad.

He served for five years in the Commission for Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning and in  the European Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. In this frame, he was authored of a law related to blue economy, which includes measures to facilitate development of the maritime economy. Arnaud holds a degree in Maritime Law with a focus on the International Law of the Sea and Protection of the Marine Environment.
