Decarbonization roadmap: business insights from the maritime, rail and aviation industries
June 3 2021 // MONTREAL: 3:00 AM to 3:40 AM // PARIS: 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM // SINGAPORE: 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM
All transport sectors are establishing their own decarbonization targets while trying to ensure their progress through a combination of factors. These include new regulations, deployment of alternative propulsion energies and an analysis of their current material use. Covid-19 (and its many impacts) has also resulted in massive adoption of government incentives pushing businesses to integrate biofuels into their recovery plans. This panel will unravel the acceleration path for maritime, rail and aviation decarbonization plans, what the next steps are, and the types of concrete solutions ready to be deployed. What are the main decarbonization sticking points these sectors face? Beyond the available technologies, what synergies exist between sectors and how can they be used to adopt a more holistic vision for decarbonization.
