Pre-Microsoft work experience: Prior to joining Microsoft, Abbosh was Chief Executive of Accenture’s Communications, Media & Technology $9B operating group and worked serving the digital platforms, media, telecommunications, semiconductor and consumer electronics industries, including building Accenture’s alliances with major technology companies. Before that, Abbosh served as Accenture’s Chief Strategy Officer responsible for industries, innovation and investments including M&A. He also helped drive the pivot of the company to digital, cloud and cyber security. Prior to that, he held several global management roles in the resources industries. Omar joined Accenture in 1989 from General Electric Company and became a partner in 1998.

Education: Abbosh holds a degree in electronic and information engineering from Cambridge University, and a master’s degree in business administration from INSEAD.

Affiliations: Abbosh is a non-executive director at Zuora, a subscription billing and revenue software company listed on the NYSE.
